>> spencer christian is tracking hurricane sandy now. spencer? here is a look at the image of the storm off the east coast of florida. winds 75 miles per hour. it's a category one hurricane. winds only 75 miles per hour. it has potential to produce heavy flooding rains and expected to move northward over several days off the coast and if it stays on this track would make land fall around washington, d.c. still as a category one hurricane. assuming the system, with this structure mixes in with that coast air, yet once moving inland there could be snowfall. at this point it's probably pointless to speculate what

happens once it moves inland. we'll keep track of it for you. >> absolutely. thank you, spencer. >> in oakland police are investigating a fatal shooting in the adams point neighborhood near lake mer yismt a man shot on the street this morning and police say they have no suspects in this case. this latest death as oakland pleets are getting help from the chp to help patrol city streets. >> oakland seeing crime rate skyrocket and homicide rate is 20% higher than it was last year. it's not surprising that the city has called for reenforcements. the city announced cal patrol and sheriff's department will begin helping patrol oakland starting next week. the police department has been under staffed, overworked and outnumbed. the city has been asking for help for the past few weeks and now the governor has

may have been set. >> a major break this afternoon in a house fire where a woman's body was found two. teens are now under arrest in connection with the death. the sheriff's office says the 18-year-old and his 16-year-old roommate beat the woman and then set her body, and the house on fire to cover up the crime. >> their intent was to burglarize the house and take valuables. they waited on the property, hiding and waiting for her to lee. she never left. >> investigators say the 16-year-old is a distant relative of the victims. thursday, the day she was killed the teen showed up with the pretense of helping the woman do yard work. both teens have been charged as adults.. >> a 24-year-old is under arrest accused of raping one woman and trying to assault nearly two years near monterey road in san jose. police say that she gave

officers the suspect's license plate number that is how they caught him. anyone with information is urged to come forward. >> now authorities released this picture today of the san francisco man accused of abducting a 9-year-old girl from a school bathroom. bradley burroughs yek is charged with kidnapping the child last month then molesting her. the girl fought off the attacker and ran to the school for help. is he accused of photographing girls in a bathroom last spring. >> police searching for a man and woman involved in a snatch and grab robbery at this store, they released video of the crime that happened inside gold rush jewelers on 4th street. you saw the thief looking at watches then running out the door with one of them. the clerk tries to chase him down but the man manages to get away. according to witnesses he jumped into a gold toyota
